Solyte

Solyte is a proprietary cushioning material used for the midsole of the running shoe. Solyte is lightweight, durable and has excellent bounce-back qualities, providing a comfortable platform to run on. Solyte's impressive shock-absorbing properties help distribute the impact forces of running. As the foot passes through the gait cycle the material compresses to absorb shock and 'bounces back' during propulsion. When the shoe is not in use, it fully decompresses to ensure a full bounce-back feel every time you run. Solyte helps create a smooth, comfortable run, with less shock on the feet and legs, minimising fatigue and reducing the chance of injury.

ASICS GEL is a silicone-based cushioning system designed to meet the needs of both professional and recreational athletes. Rearfoot GEL provides cushioning in all directions, absorbs impact forces and helps to stabilise the foot during heel contact.

Gender Specific Space Trusstic

The Gender Specific Space Trusstic System provides the female foot with the right levels of support and flexibility as it moves through the gait cycle. It achieves this through a strategically placed pocket of space between the Trusstic device and the layer of midsole under the foot arch. As the foot moves through the complex motions of running, it makes use of the principle of the windlass mechanism. With every propulsion, the foot acts as a rigid lever, tightening the plantar fascia and heightening the foot arch. The Space Trusstic System works with this natural movement of the foot. As the plantar fascia tightens and presses downward, it can press freely against the midsole which can bend into the space pocket. The hard plastic Trusstic device maintains support while allowing the foot to move efficiently. The result is greater comfort and a more efficient foot function during running. The Gender Specific Space Trusstic uses a thinner, more flexible midsole than the male version, so that the female foot can flex it sufficiently and take full advantage of the system.

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning refers to the inclusion of specially formulated Solyte material in the forefoot. The material's density is reduced, allowing the female foot to compress it sufficiently and benefit fully from the bounce-back qualities of Solyte. Traditionally, women's running shoes contained cushioning material of the same density as men's. However, as women are usually lighter than men, the female foot would not fully compress the material, resulting in a less than optimal ride. Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning addresses this issue and provides women with a more comfortable and responsive ride. The cushioning material, located under the ball of the foot and extending across the width of the shoe, also acts as an efficient shock absorber.

Heel Clutching System

Heel Clutching System is an external Pebax mold that 'clutches' the entire rearfoot. Replacing the shoe's internal heel counter, it works like an exoskeleton, providing support while drastically reducing the potential for irritation. Besides making the shoe lighter, Heel Clutching System creates a more customised fit for different foot types.
